
Occupational health and safety act 85 of 1993 is probably the one discipline which requires more attention, compliance, implementation and ultimately monitoring and enforcing than any other in the labour intensive "construction industry".
Every single employee must be protected from occupational hazards and danger, which has multiple facets (see 162 pages of the above act).

Employees are inducted according to each location and task they are required to perform. Frequent checks are carried out to ensure employees are equipped with Personal Protection Equipment (P.P.E) and are using it correctly.
Medicals and specialist training are an integral part of this process.
